Re-opening of the Grooming Salon

Governor Bullock has lifted the stay-at-home order beginning Sunday the 26th. Also, some non-essential businesses are allowed to re-open on Monday the 27th. Included among these are grooming salons!

We are very excited to see you and your pets again! We ask that you refrain from calling to schedule your appointments for a few days. Right now, we are trying to schedule those dogs who missed a scheduled appointment due to the closure. If your dog missed an appointment or already has a scheduled appointment after the 26th, expect a call soon.

Although the phased reopening of our economy has begun, it is important to remember that Covid-19 has not gone away. This virus is something that our community, our nation, and our world will be fighting for quite some time. To assist in that fight, and as a condition of our reopening, we have to implement some new policies to protect our clients and our staff.

  • Only one handler/dog(s) in the salon entry at a time.
    • We will be modifying our appointment times to help with this.
  • Keep an eye out for the line taped on our floor. Please, stay behind this line as you interact with our groomers during check-in/check-out.
  • Place your dog in the kennel upon check-in.
    • The chairs in our grooming salons have been replaced with kennels. We ask that you place your dog in the kennel and remove any collars/harnesses and your leash. Securely close the kennel door and take your equipment with you when you leave. This reduces the risk of the virus coming into our salons on your equipment or on your dog’s hair and transferring to other dogs or to our groomers and equipment. They will only be in the kennel for a few minutes before beginning their bath!
  • Please arrive as close to your appointment time as possible!
    • Given our new policies, arriving early will result in a back-up and thus people standing and waiting in the store, which we cannot allow given social-distancing requirements. Arriving early for pick-up will create the same problem so as always, we ask that you wait for our call to come to get your dog!
  • If you or anyone in your household is experiencing symptoms of Covid-19 or if you have traveled out of state in the last 14 days, please call to reschedule your appointment. There will be no penalties for this. For reliable information on Covid-19 see the CDC’s information page:

These new policies are a change for all of us and we sincerely thank you for your patience while we get our system worked out! These changes are what will allow us to safely stay open so that we can continue to pamper your pet on a regular schedule.

Our pet washes will also re-open on the 27th! See this blog post for information on the new Covid-19 pet wash policies:
